CSK vs MI : Journey Of A Fan With It ft. Emotions

Ok!! So after a long time I am going to write something on this blog post. But why??

Honestly, nowadays I don't know why but if we leave ICC tournaments the charm is less for me in cricket and trust me it have nothing to do with the game it is just personal opinion.

For me the things that don't work are high intensity encounters are missing, Rishabh is also missing (bhai fan hu uska bhakt nhi par uski bakchodi dekhe bina maza nhi ata) , missing good commentary on TV ( for comic relief bhojpuri is the go to language) and the reason which our previous generation give that nostalgia factor is missing is also now somehow relates with me which at a time felt stupid for a cricket enthusiast kid.

I enjoy Tanay's YouTube video basically a meme collection on last night match more than the match itself. But suddenly a day ago I was just switching channels and noticed andre russel got out for a golden duck and in a boring match KKR was just about to surrender against RCB but then came Lord Shardul.

Now this post will go in a completely different direction if I went that way but in short I am huge fan of Palghar express and decided to watch the match for 5 minutes for Shardul which resulted into a 45 minutes ride of old school joy and excitement and in end it will be a crime if I will not write "All hail Lord shardul".

So again back at IPL and today is CSK vs MI or popularly known as El classico. So give a read on my journey and take on this rivalry.

CSK vs MI : Journey Of A Fan With It ft. Emotions

Okay so today is CSK vs MI and guess CSK basher pollard is no long on the field but will be in dugout which is a sigh of relief for me as a CSK fan. That man is a nightmare for CSKians and not all time he got caught to the fielder standing behind the umpire near boundary line.

But the loss is also the same in CSK camp as our champion DJ Bravo is also this time assisting the team from behind so definitely the Carribean flavor will be missed heavily and MI fans will also not forget that match of  2018 where bravo snatched victory from their claws.

Ok so I will not talk about the stats as you can get it better from Crickbuzz but will talk about my journey with this rivalry.
So back in 2010 I got the taste of cricket and at that time I just knew Dhoni and Sachin as at that time they were the poster boys of cricket. PS: MS is still.  So at that time in out class either you would be a fan of MI or CSK (to my memory there were no RCB fans at that time because kohli was not king at that time.. )beside the fact both team were empty handed. Le my inner CSK fan- BC CSK was always ahead from MI in 2008 and 9.

So going same my friend was a MI supporter and I was a CSK one and both team met in 2010 final and CSK one. Honestly speaking I didn't witnessed the whole match as the same old problem ye ghar wale TV nhi dekhne dete yar itni raat ko. So when Sachin got out I was forced to sleep by giving a trust that now Sachin is out cheaply so Dhoni will win and next morning I got the same result in newspaper and boom my trust in MS goes deeper and I became a huge CSK fan from that day.

Then the journey begins in 2011 we won, 2012 we lost in final due to magic of bisla but were still better than MI and I would constantly make fun of MI against my friend and he had no reason to celebrate. Poor guy. But suddenly time flipped in 2013 and from that day MI has upper hand over CSK. I left that school in 2015 and in new school the MI fans were replaced by RCB ones and it was easy to make fun of them. Iykyk::)

So without offending anyone for two years there was no CSK but where there is MS there is CSK and RPS also lose to MI just by one run ( according to me ambani-umpire relationship rumors started from this match. Just a joke) . Same happened in 2019 but in between we won one more title in 2018 then in 2020 they won and we were sidelined and in 2021 we won and they failed to even quality. Correct me if I am wrong.

2022 was forgettable for both and now in 2023 discussion are strong about will it be Dhoni's last season and speaking about myself I don't know. Personally I want that this season MS retires with a title and finishes his cricketing chapter but who am I to talk about it. No one knows when will 'pal do pal ka shayar' play as seeing MS's test retirement in 2014 and 2020 one we can surely say his retirement decision will also be also unpredictable like his on field decisions and somehow as intelligent as Dhoni can decode it certainly I am not that guy.

If we closely observe the MI and CSK have gave each other their ship captains.
Sachin insisted BCCI to make MS captain and rest is history and in the same way it was Dhoni who made  Rohit the international star today what he is. And we all know IPL and international success walks in parallel. Waiting if somehow Ruturaj become something big under Rohit in Indian team.

They gave us bravo, ambati, harbhajan and we gave them O wait what we gave yes we gave them our orange cap winner Mike hussey the very next season. Comment down some players which player for CSK before playing for MI if you know.

So that's it I feel this is it from my side. Rooting for CSK and waiting for some more sixes from Dhoni in Wankhede.
